When the raga breathes, the soul listens. When the laya flows, the heart responds. In that sacred space between note and rhythm, a dialogue emerges. This is the essence of ‘Raag Samvaad’, an evening of Hindustani classical music led by Padma Shri Pt. Dr. M. Venkatesh Kumar.
A disciple of Padmabhushan Dr. Puttaraj Gawai and an eminent exponent of the Kirana and Gwalior gharanas, Pt. Venkatesh Kumar is renowned for his deeply devotional style, enriched by Dasavani compositions that carry both bhakti and timeless artistry. He will be accompanied by Mandar Puranik on tabla and Siddhesh Bicholkar on harmonium, crafting a soundscape where melody meets rhythm in meditative grace.
Marking the beginning of the festive season, each raga in this concert will unfold its unique spirit, engaging in dialogue with laya, and guiding listeners towards inner reflection and transcendence.
