Be swept away as violinist Yadnesh Raikar, pianist Arka Chakraborty, and percussionist Shravan Samsi blend the nuanced depth of Indian classical music with the free-flowing dynamism of jazz.
Embodying the boundless power of music to connect, inspire, and transcend, the visionary Indo-jazz trio—Yadnesh Raikar, Arka Chakraborty, and Shravan Samsi—present a stunning fusion showcase that is as rooted as it is revolutionary.
At its core, ‘Ananta: The Infinite’ is both a tribute to lineage and a journey into new sonic frontiers. Each artist brings a distinct legacy—Raikar’s emotive phrasing, shaped by Dr. L. Subramaniam and Milind Raikar; Chakraborty’s jazz instincts, honed under the legendary Carlton Kitto; and Samsi’s rhythmic innovation, influenced by maestros Pandit Yogesh Samsi, Ranjit Barot, and Trilok Gurtu. Together, they create a musical dialogue where intricate ragas meet bebop harmonies, and global grooves open space for deep interplay and improvisation.
For this special performance, the trio expands its sonic canvas with tabla maestro Pt. Yogesh Samsi, Carnatic vocalist Rohith Jayaraman, and bassist Sheldon D’Silva. The result is a rich, multi-dimensional experience moving seamlessly between meditative stillness and exhilarating bursts of rhythm and movement. Each composition is both an offering to their gurus and an invitation for audiences to embark on a journey across traditions, time, and emotion.
