Witness the bold, contemporary sound of a collective that has taken Rajasthani folk to global stages, blending desert melodies, sufi poetry, and rock-infused rhythms into a powerful one-night performance.
With bamboo flutes, desert strings, and global grooves, the evening reimagines traditional Rajasthani music for today’s stage. Led by Aditya Bhasin, the collective features a powerhouse lineup including folk specialist Bismillah Khan, Pandit Kusumakar Pandya on the Bamboo Flute, and Moarenla Ao (Nancy) adding vocal harmonies and ethnic percussion - each bringing a distinct voice to the group’s signature sound.
Known for their genre-defying collaborations and international appearances, Rajasthan Roots seamlessly blends folk vocals with guitars, drums, and Western influences, offering everything from ‘Kesariya Balam’ and sufi poetry to mashups featuring Santana, Leonard Cohen, and The Beatles.
Formed nearly two decades ago the collective has toured worldwide —spotlighting the region’s rich musical heritage while constantly expanding its sound. Their performances bring together crowd favourites, original compositions, and timeless lyrics by renowned poets paired with raw energy, deep roots, and a sound all their own.
