The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) is a first-of-its-kind, multi-disciplinary space in the sphere of arts, located in the heart of Mumbai, India. Since its opening in March 2023, the Cultural Centre has staged more than 1,500 shows featuring over 7,000 artists across venues, welcoming a total of more than two million guests. NMACC has been featured in the international publication Madame Figaro as one of the seven leading cultural centres of the world.

In September, the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre is bringing the first edition of the NMACC India Weekend to NYC, taking forward the vision of bringing the best of India to the world with a three-day cultural showcase! This one-of-its-kind event celebrates the finest of Indian performing arts, fashion, music, wellness, and cuisine with a host of exciting presentations. It will take place at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, New York, from September 12–14, 2025.

At the NMACC India Weekend, guests can view ‘The Great Indian Musical: Civilization to Nation’, presented by the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, at the David. H Koch Theater. This is a limited run of 5 shows over the weekend, with matinee and evening shows on Saturday and Sunday, and only one evening show on the Opening Night (Friday). You can view the schedule for show timings.

For the Weekend, guests can also book passes for ‘The Grand Indian Festival’ at Damrosch Park. Passes are available for morning and evening sessions – guests can choose either or both – to experience the finest in Indian fashion and textiles, decadent flavours, as well as dance, yoga and music.

The show, ‘The Great Indian Musical: Civilization to Nation’, has a limited run of 5 performances. Tickets booked for the show allow guests access only to the David H. Koch Theater for either a matinee or an evening performance.

For the ‘The Grand Indian Festival’ at Damrosch Park, you can choose to pick passes for the morning (10.30am to 2pm) and/ or evening (4pm to 10.30pm) sessions. These passes grant access only to Damrosch Park and do not include access to the theater for the musical.

Witness the U.S. premiere of India’s largest theatrical production – ‘The Great Indian Musical: Civilization to Nation’ – as a part of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre India Weekend.

Presented by Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, the musical is conceived and directed by Feroz Abbas Khan.

Feroz Abbas Khan is an internationally celebrated film & theatre director and screenwriter whose work uses the medium of television, radio, and the internet for social behaviour change and women empowerment.

The production comes alive with music by Ajay-Atul, costumes by Manish Malhotra, lead choreography by Mayuri Upadhya, guest choreography by Vaibhavi Merchant, and Gujarati Folk Dance choreography by Samir and Arsh Tanna.

The show will have a limited run of five performances over three days. On the opening night, there is one evening show, followed by matinee and evening performances on Saturday and Sunday.

The musical incorporates multiple Indian languages through music and visuals, and the voice narration will be in English. English subtitles will be displayed during dialogues (that are spoken in local Indian language).
