Get immersed in a unique experience where spirituality and divinity align in a captivating Harikatha–Bharatanatyam performance by Vishakha Hari and Sridevi Nrithyalaya, led by the renowned Acharya, Dr. Sheela Unnikrishnan.
In a rare confluence of music, storytelling, and dance, Harikatha exponent and Carnatic vocalist Vishakha Hari joins the acclaimed Bharatanatyam ensemble Sridevi Nrithyalaya. This unique Nritya Harikatha, a form that blends the narrative and melodic richness of traditional Harikatha with the expressive vocabulary of Bharatanatyam, celebrates the divine trinity of Shakti – Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswati.
Drawing from both ancient scriptures and historical sources, the performance explores the philosophies and stories surrounding each goddess, illuminating their enduring relevance. Vishakha Hari, a disciple of violin maestro Padma Vibhushan Lalgudi Jayaraman and an artist of All India Radio, brings her emotive voice and storytelling artistry to the production. Sharing the stage, the ensemble of Sridevi Nrithyalaya – founded by renowned dancer Sheela Unnikrishnan – adds its signature precision, vibrant choreography, and deep-rooted tradition to the storytelling.
Together, they craft a richly layered homage to the feminine divine in a performance where music, word, and movement flow as one.
