Tripura’s only female composer, Krishnakali Saha leads this soulful concert that blends music, poetry, and storytelling to explore love in all its forms.
A lyrical journey through love’s many forms, this intimate concert experience is curated and led by Krishnakali Saha – one of India’s most expressive contemporary voices. A celebrated playback singer, songwriter, and music educator, Krishnakali blends her classical foundation with genre-fluid artistry in ‘Jashn-e-Mohabbat’ – a narrative concert that moves through romance, devotion, longing, and joy.
The performance weaves together Indian classical, folk, and cinematic music with original compositions, featuring a rich repertoire of ghazals, thumris, Bollywood favourites, and contemporary fusion. Enhanced by immersive storytelling and shayari, it draws audiences into an emotional landscape that is both personal and universal.
Krishnakali, a finalist on ‘Indian Idol’ Season 10 and a seasoned performer with over 60 solo shows across India and internationally, has lent her voice to films and series including ‘Heeramandi’, ‘Param Sundari’, ‘Hey Sinamika’, and ‘Umrao Jaan Ada’ (the musical). With ‘Jashn-e-Mohabbat’, she brings her poetic spirit and creative vision to the stage, transforming memory, melody, and meaning into a shared celebration of love.
Bringing her vision to life is a gifted ensemble that includes Mrunmay Chavan on tabla and dholak, Yaman Sharma on keyboard and piano, Ankitraj Vishwakarma on guitar, and Nayan Tawde on electric drums. The evening unfolds under the guidance of host Rattandeep Singh, with narrative and script by Rahul Barman. Together, they shape a performance that is as musically rich as it is emotionally resonant.
This performance is supported by Reliance Foundation.
