Step into a world where dance meets spirituality, drawing inspiration from the mystical philosophies of Baul minstrels and Sufism.
This mesmerising production conceptualised and performed by acclaimed dancer and choreographer Nilava Sen takes you on a transformative journey that explores the depths of spirituality. The show invites you to delve into the profound notion that God resides within us all. Titled after the Greek term ‘Entheos’, meaning ‘full of God’, it celebrates the creative spirit of poets and artists.
The story unfolds at the protagonist's deathbed, where a kaleidoscope of memories swirls in the mind just before the end. As he searches for God, we are left to ponder: Who is God? Where is God? Through breathtaking dance and evocative storytelling, the performance seeks to illuminate these timeless questions, weaving in the wisdom of luminaries like Lalon Fakir, Kabir, Rabindranath Tagore, and Rumi. Rousing music compositions and arrangement by Sachit Chaudhary, Tushar Das, Ayan Banerjee, Syed Waqeel Ahad, and Sounds of Isha renders the performance unforgettable.
Mentored by none other than Tanusree Shankar, Nilava Sen is a dedicated practitioner of both Bharatanatyam and the legendary Uday Shankar technique, bridging the gap between two rich dance traditions. He is currently honing his craft under the guidance of renowned gurus Acharya Tanushree Shankar and Acharya Rama Vaidyanathan. His debut solo work captivated audiences at the Serendipity Festival in Goa, and ‘Entheos’ has continued to garner acclaim at various prestigious platforms, including the Navapallava Festival and the Mudra Festival at NCPA.
Don’t miss this opportunity to witness Sen’s extraordinary talent live!
