Inspired by Eve Ensler’s novella, this bold blend of text and movement follows a woman as she reimagines the apology never received in order to reclaim her voice.
What happens when an apology never arrives but still needs to be heard? This unique performance explores that tension, following a woman as she confronts silence, tradition, and the quiet power structures that shaped her.
Written and directed by Meghna Roy Choudhury, the work draws from Eve Ensler’s novella The Apology. Through an imagined conversation with her long-dead Guru, the protagonist gives shape to the apology she was denied—not as an act of forgiveness, but as a step toward healing. In the process, she questions a classical dance tradition that upholds reverence for lineage yet resists accountability.
Featuring moving performances by Princy Sudhakaran, Hrishabh Kanti, Snigdha Pious and Pranav Dandekar, this bold meditation on voice, ownership, and closure moves through rupture and return, revealing how the very art form that once confined the protagonist becomes a path to reclaiming herself.
