'Sharmistha Chatterjee's The Mystics of India Project’

Weaving poetry, prayer, and melody, this concert is an immersive musical journey led by award-winning vocalist Sharmistha Chatterjee. Rooted in the verses of mystic poets such as Bulleh Shah, Shah Hussain, Amir Khusro, and Meera Bai, the evening blends Punjabi Sufi and Indian folk traditions with cinematic and contemporary expressions, bridging centuries through sound. 
 
Renowned for her genre-fluid vocal artistry and acclaimed performances on 'Coke Studio Pakistan’ and ‘Heeramandi’, Sharmistha brings emotional depth and spiritual clarity to every composition. The show features ‘Tilasmi Bahein’, ‘Baithi Hai’, ‘Kinarey’, and ‘Sayon’, building towards a powerful Sufi finale with ‘Laal Meri Pat’. 
 
Sharmistha is joined on stage by Amandeep Singh Soni (lead guitar), Rahul Wadhwani (keyboard), Sayar Mitra (bass), Vaibhav Wavikar (drums & percussion), Satej Karandikar (flute), and Shrutisheel Uddhav (tabla) – a stellar ensemble that brings vibrant texture and richness to the experience. At its heart, ‘The Mystics of India Project’ is a celebration of longing, divine love, and the timeless power of music to stir the soul.
