Four masterful musicians come together for a unique fusion, where the rich textures of Middle Eastern jazz melt into the rhythmic energy of the Afro-Caribbean soundscape.
Join globally celebrated artists – Samvel Gasparyan, Ariel Bringuez, Gaston Joya, and Rodney Barreto – on a soulful jazz journey. Their music is fluid yet precise, rooted in tradition, and alive with improvisation. What emerges is a conversation across cultures – rich, expressive, and strikingly contemporary!
‘Global Jazz Quartet’ – a crossroad of two genres in the Middle East and Caribbean – is led by pianist and composer Samvel Gasparyan, known for his emotionally nuanced playing and global collaborations. Joining him is Cuban saxophonist Ariel Bringuez, whose lyrical tone and sophisticated jazz sensibility bring warmth and complexity to the presentation. On bass, Gaston Joya provides a grounded yet melodic foundation, honed through years of performing with leading Cuban and international ensembles. Drummer Rodney Barreto completes the quartet with a crisp and dynamic style, shifting effortlessly between restraint and intensity.
This performance is a celebration of the bonds that unite cultures, traditions, and artists. From intricate solos to tightly woven ensemble work, the music is both technically masterful and deeply expressive. Drawing on jazz’s spirit of freedom and exploration, the quartet channels influences from across continents to create a stunning showcase that is vibrant, dynamic, and fully alive. Don’t miss out!
