Experience the Ramayana in a new light, as Anoushka Zaveri brings Sita’s story to the forefront in a bold solo performance.
Bold, playful, and deeply resonant, ‘Glitch in the Myth’ reimagines the Ramayana through the eyes of Sita. Created and performed by Bharatanatyam dancer and theatre-maker Anoushka Zaveri, this solo piece blends classical dance, theatre, live music, and poetry to trace Sita’s journey – from childhood to marriage, and exile to disappearance.
But this is no simple retelling, it is a quiet rebellion! With haunting live vocals by Maahi Zaveri, the performance invites us to challenge what we think we know – to reflect on what’s remembered, what’s forgotten, and why.
Winner of the Pearl Padamsee Awards for Outstanding Actor, Outstanding Production Design, and Outstanding New Writing, and performed to sold-out audiences at Serendipity Arts Festival 2024 – ‘Glitch in the Myth’ gives an ancient story a contemporary voice, reminding us that even myths and epics are not beyond question.
