Witness the blurring of fact and fiction in this powerful treatise of human relationships by acclaimed playwright Mahesh Elkunchwar—featuring theatre powerhouses like Lillete Dubey, Suchitra Pillai, and Sarah Hashmi.
The truth is rarely straightforward—and in this layered, time-shifting drama, it’s nearly impossible to define.
Written by award-wining playwright Mahesh Elkunchwar and directed by Lillete Dubey, the story follows celebrated writer Anantrao Rajadhyaksha as he begins dictating his life story to Pradnya, a sharp and irreverent PhD student. What starts as a literary exercise soon unravels into a web of past relationships, personal betrayals, and competing truths.
Told through flashbacks and shifting perspectives, the narrative moves between present and past, as three key women—his wife Uttara, his former lover Vasanti, and his biographer Pradnya—offer their own versions of the man behind the words. As fact and fiction blur, so does the line between author and subject, leaving the audience to wonder what truth really means.
Featuring performances by Denzil Smith, Lillete Dubey, Suchitra Pillai, and Sarah Hashmi, this production is a gripping portrait of memory, ego, and the stories they choose to tell.
