Honouring India’s enduring guru-shishya legacy for the third year, Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre's landmark annual programming brings you two extraordinary performances of dance and music by renowned maestros and their talented disciples.
Celebrating the spirit of Guru Purnima across two days, the stellar event opens with a stunning showcase by internationally acclaimed Kathak virtuoso Aditi Mangaldas and her troupe. The visually rich presentation uses Kathak’s kinetic precision to question one of life’s most elusive mysteries – what lies ‘beyond’?
The following day features celebrated composer and singer Shankar Mahadevan and his protegees – sons Siddharth and Shivam Mahadevan, along with ardent shishyas Shrinidhi Ghatate and Prakriti Giri. The evening evokes the hummable nostalgia of film music as well as the creative spirit of Indo-fusion. It also features a special segment by the students of Shankar Mahadevan's ‘Inspire India Project’ – an initiative which brings music education to children from underprivileged schools.
