Join music educators Kamakshi and Vishala Khurana for a fun, forest-themed session where children explore rhythm, sound, and movement through music.
This immersive music workshop introduces children to the world of sound through storytelling, rhythm, and movement—designed to spark creativity and support emotional and sensory development. Led by renowned educators Kamakshi and Vishala Khurana, the session draws on years of experience in combining Indian classical music with child psychology to create thoughtful, joyful learning environments.
The theme for this edition, ‘A Journey Through the Forest’, takes children on a guided musical adventure through a jungle-inspired world. As they ‘travel’ through the forest, they encounter different musical elements and characters—engaging their imagination, listening skills, and physical expression along the way. With a strong focus on sensory engagement and musical storytelling, the workshop makes learning feel like play.
Kamakshi and Vishala, founders of The Sound Space, have trained under masters such as Pandit Dinkar Kaikini and Pandit Dhruba Ghosh, and have collaborated with leading schools and institutions across India and abroad. Their work has reached thousands of children through programmes designed for classrooms, concerts, and special needs education.
Thoughtfully structured and rooted in musical tradition, this session is an opportunity for children to connect with sound in a way that is fun, immersive, and developmentally meaningful.
