Celebrating the vibrant fusion of Kathak and Lavani, ‘Kathak ki Ada, Lavani ka Thumka’ delves into the unique harmony between these two iconic dance forms, both deeply rooted in Maharashtra’s cultural heritage. Developed under the Peshwa rule, Kathak and Lavani together weave a rich tapestry of Adakari (expression), Taal (rhythm), and Laikari (timing), creating an enchanting jugalbandi that both contrasts and complements their individual artistry.
Led by the internationally renowned dance exponent Aditi Bhagwat, known for her innovative fusion work with styles like Flamenco and Jazz, the showcase brings together a diverse group of talented artists.
