A witty, one-woman journey of resilience and rebellion, the play captures a woman’s escape from confinement through humour and imagination.
Adapted by Amol Patil from Franca Rame’s ‘A Woman Alone’, ‘KadeKot KadeLot’ tells the story of a woman confined to her home by her husband, finding solace and escape in her imagination. In her isolation, the woman shares her frustrations, dreams, and small acts of rebellion through witty and reflective monologues. Khasnis’s performance uses humour to reveal her character’s resilience, inviting the audience to laugh even as they consider themes of identity, freedom, and self-expression.
The play offers a relatable portrayal of women navigating societal confines and encourages viewers to reflect on universal struggles for autonomy and independence.
Directed by Kalpesh Samel, this one-woman play stars Pratiksha Khasnis.
