What happens when two opposing worlds collide in the unlikeliest of circumstances? ‘Jump', a twisted comedy by Maneesh Verma, takes an unflinching look at life, death, and the fragile connections that define the human experience.
Set on a rooftop, the story follows a successful female executive on the brink of suicide, whose plans are interrupted by a cab driver. What begins as a desperate encounter soon evolves into a sharp, thought-provoking exploration of mental health, perspectives, and shared humanity. Dilnaz Irani and Sanjay Sonu bring these complex characters to life, navigating humour and poignancy with precision.
Premiered at the Serendipity Arts Festival 2023 in Goa, ‘Jump’ was hailed as one of the festival’s most impactful performances. Acclaimed for its unique blend of dark humour and social relevance, the play encourages the audience to reflect on their own beliefs while challenging societal norms around mental health.
