Experience the mastery of Grammy-nominated Pt. Ronu Majumdar in a soulful fusion of Indian and Western Classical music, honouring Mozart.
Prepare to be mesmerised as the legendary Pt. Ronu Majumdar takes the stage with his dream project, ‘Flute Symphony – A Tribute to Mozart’. Known as the 'Dr. Feelgood of Indian Flute', Pt. Majumdar has redefined the instrument’s potential by blending the rich traditions of Hindustani classical music with innovative symphonic compositions.
In this one-of-a-kind concert, the audience will witness a seamless fusion of Indian and Western classical music. The evening opens with a heartfelt rendition of Mozart’s Symphony No. 40, paying tribute to the iconic composer. What follows is a series of original compositions by Pt. Majumdar — infused with the spirit of Mozart yet uniquely Indian in their essence. Through his signature technique, blending Dhrupad Gayaki and rhythmic Laykari, he creates a musical journey that bridges cultures and connects communities.
Joining Pt. Majumdar is an exceptional ensemble — maestro Abhijit Mazumdar as conductor, the dynamic Aditya Kalyanpur on tabla, Shikhar Naad Qureshi on djembe and percussion, Amit Bhavar on keyboard, and the renowned Bombay String Orchestra. Together, they promise an unforgettable experience that celebrates the artistic harmony of diverse musical traditions.
