Embark on a genre-defying sonic adventure where classical Indian music meets modern innovation.
Melding the timeless principles of raag and taal shastra with cutting-edge compositional influences, ‘Elements by Shadaj Godkhindi & Shravan Samsi’ brings a unique musical experience that pushes the limits of Indian fusion. Led by the masterful Shadaj Godkhindi on flute and Shravan Samsi on drums, this dynamic ensemble creates a rich musical tapestry that seamlessly blends traditional music with contemporary influences, offering a deeply engaging show.
At the heart of the ensemble is Shadaj Godkhindi, a third-generation flautist from a renowned musical lineage. Under the guidance of his father, Dr. Pandit Pravin Godkhindi, and his grandfather, Pandit Venkatesh Godkhindi, Shadaj began his flute training at the tender age of two. A true prodigy, he gave his first public performance at just three years old at Bangalore’s iconic Ravindra Kalakshetra auditorium. Over the years, Shadaj has earned recognition as both a virtuoso classical musician and a trailblazer in fusion music, celebrated for his ability to blend traditional Indian melodies with innovative, modern soundscapes.
Joining Shadaj and Shravan are an exceptional group of musicians — Sanjay Divecha on guitar, Gandhar Deshpande on vocals, and Vivian D’Souza on bass. Together, they will take you on a musical journey that reimagines and reinvents the very essence of Indian fusion.
