Drawing from personal memory and family legacy, Juhi Babbar Soni brings her grandmother’s love story to life in this heartwarming play co-directed by the actress and Makarand Deshpande.
He was a man devoted to his country. She was the woman who loved him for that very passion. Through years of distance, political upheaval, and quiet sacrifice, their bond remained unbroken—steady, silent, and full of strength.
Penned by two daughters and a granddaughter, this Ekjute Theatre Group brings to life a deeply personal and enduring love story. Written and performed by Juhi Babbar Soni, the play features her in the role of her own grandmother, Razia. The script is enriched with excerpts from her mother Nadira Zaheer Babbar’s play and poem ‘Meri Maa Ke Haath’, and her aunt Noor Zaheer’s book ‘Syaahi Ki Ek Boond’, blending family memory with powerful literary voices.
Directed by Makarand Deshpande, this is a heartfelt tribute to a love that remained whole—even in the face of distance, duty, and time.
