From meditative ragas to high-octane rhythms, this captivating act brings together four visionary artists for an unforgettable musical journey.
A wave of rhythm, melody, and movement unfolds in this stirring performance as it reimagines Indian classical music for today’s stage. Rooted and restless – the music shifts from soulful, meditative ragas to high-energy compositions that invite participation and spark joy. Traditional instruments meet modern arrangements, creating a space where heritage and innovation flow freely together.
At the heart of this ensemble is sitarist Chintan Katti, whose original compositions set the tone for an experience that is both grounded and exploratory. He is joined by Shikhar Naad Qureshi on djembe and percussion, carrying forward a rich rhythmic legacy while crafting a language that is uniquely his own. On keyboard, Shivahari Ranade brings a sharp sense of arrangement and genre fluidity, adding texture and depth. Completing the quartet is tabla artist Ashish Ragwani, a young maestro known for his expressive style and award-winning performances around the world.
Together, they form a dynamic group of artists, each steeped in classical tradition but unafraid to push boundaries – offering audiences a performance that is as visually engaging as it is sonically powerful.
