Witness an enchanting exploration of the human emotions that connect the mortal and the divine worlds by renowned Kuchipudi dancer Prateeksha Kashinhuman.
Like many Indian Classical dance forms, the tenets of Kuchipudi are woven from a beautiful medley of emotions and expressions. This soulful dance recital by award-winning danseuse Prateeksha Kashi delves into exactly that – ‘bhaava’, or human emotions.
It is emotion that governs our lives and binds all relationships, between a child and their mother, between friends and lovers, between a devotee and God – between the artist and the audience. They not only shape how people connect with one another but also serve as the foundation for self-expression, particularly in dance. Emotions express what words cannot, making Prateeksha’s visually enchanting choreography a celebration of the unspoken constant in both mortal and divine world.
Trained in Kuchipudi under the guidance of her mother and Guru Vyjayanthi Kashi, Prateeksha is an empanelled artist of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and has performed across India and the world. She was selected to represent Kuchipudi as a part of a 100-member Youth Delegation to China by the Indian Ministry of Youth. Prateeksha conducted the much-loved ‘In Conversation’ series with Kathak legend Pt. Birju Maharaj as part of a programme organised by the Trinity Fine Arts Festival in 2018.
