Experience the soulful artistry of Singapore-based South Asian singer-songwriter Katya Krishnan in a heartfelt blend of R&B, folk, and rock.

‘Anatomy of a Knot’ invites you into a world of tangled emotions and intricate connections, where the knots are endless, and the feelings they stir are universally felt. With soulful vocals, rich melodies, and raw, original storytelling, Katya unravels the beautiful mess of human relationships – the ties that bind, the threads that fray, and the knots that can never fully be undone. Set to a dynamic soundscape ranging from alternative R&B and hip-hop to acoustic folk, pop, and rock, this performance explores love, lust, heartbreak, self-reflection, healing, and everything in between.

An international artist whose work reflects a rich tapestry of influences, Katya draws from her upbringing in Singapore, Australia, and India, and her musical studies in the United States. A Berklee College of Music alumna and former member of the Grammy-nominated Berklee Indian Ensemble, she seamlessly fuses songwriting, performance, production, and content creation into a unique artistic expression. Her dynamic career includes credits such as playback singing for Bollywood films like Yash Raj’s ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’, contributions to Grammy-nominated projects, and performances at renowned festivals like Lollapalooza. She has also scored commercials for major brands, including Volkswagen.

A versatile vocalist, Katya’s captivating voice and exploration of her diverse roots redefine contemporary popular music. Her work captures the complexities of human relationships and self-discovery — the honest and the hidden, the push and pull. Accompanied by Aman Sagar’s resonant guitar, Danik Ghosh’s grounding bass, Zion Mathew’s emotive keyboard work, and Dhir Mody’s delicate percussion, her powerful vocals promise to deliver an unforgettable experience.
